About Us

Our Story

After 3 boys, my first little girl Sydney (So Sweet) was born... but she had no hair!

And so... Sydney So Sweet was started as a hair bow business dedicated to finding unique accessories that even a bald baby girl could wear. As a mother of only boys (and a tom boy myself), I had no idea at first how much was out there! Finding unique and exciting accessories became my obsession. But it was so expensive! How could one baby girl "need" so many outfits and accessories? I wanted a site where moms could dress up their kids in trendy clothes and accessories without breaking the bank. They are little for such a short time! But there was no where to shop for the things I wanted, so I made them myself!

My newfound interest was limited only by the high price tags on baby wear, especially trendy or stylish options. I wished there was an online boutique that parents could go to if they wanted to buy heart-snatching baby clothes and accessories without breaking the bank. I realized there was nothing stopping me from making my own wish come true.

After some time scouring the Internet and going to craft fairs, I became an expert hair bow and tutu maker. What started as a few ribbons and pinch clips at the kitchen table soon took over the spare room, and then a whole floor of our house. When I saw my creations start spilling out all over our living space, I knew it was time to move the business out.

We soon took up residence in the historic downtown factory district here in our hometown. I left my job as a teacher to run the business full time. After a few more years growing and curating our collections, we now operate our own state of the art distribution facility.
