You know what always puts us in a fall mood? Apple picking! Now that it is finally cooling down outside, it is time to enjoy a nice day at the apple orchard with your family! To make sure you have a good time, we've put together a few tips for your day at the orchard.

1. Prep your kids ahead of time!

Before you go, decide on what you are going to do with the apples. If you are going to bake a pie, you will need to pick certain apples. Granny Smith and Honeycrip are my favorite for baking.

Are you going for the best tasting apples? Are you looking for a certain variety? Do you want a hayride? Do you like to shop at a farmer's market or pick a pumpkin from patch? Before you go, figure out the best orchards so you can do everything you want in one place, and no one is disappointed!
